Amazon tops ‘World’s Most Valuable Brand’ ranking

Amazon is now the world’s most valuable brand, according to a new report from WPP and Kantar.

The 2019 BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands ranking isn’t surprising to be dominated tech companies. Apple and Google were former leaders of the list.

This year, five of the top 10 are tech providers.

  2. Apple
  3. Google
  4. Microsoft
  5. Visa
  6. Facebook
  7. Alibaba
  8. Tencent
  9. McDonald’s
  10. AT&T

McDonald’s is the only non-tech company at the top 10.

The report also noted how Chinese brands were beginning to make their presence felt. Aside from Alibaba and Tencent that are part of the dominant top 10, there were nine newcomers in the ranking that came from the Asian country. These include Xiaomi, Haier and Meituan, among others.
